Service Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client") and Personal Chef Ana ("we," "us," or "our") regarding the use of our personal chef services. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Meal Preparation Services
- • Same Day Meals (3-4 hours)
- • Weekly Meal Prep (5-6 hours)

Service Rates and Minimums
Personal Chef Services
Rate: $50 per hour
Minimum: 4 hours per service
Total minimum: $200 per service
Private Chef Services
Rate: $100 per person
Minimum: 2 people per service
Total minimum: $200 per service
Note: All rates are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Current rates apply to confirmed bookings.
Service Limitations
We Do Not Provide:
- • Children's birthday parties or events primarily for minors
- • Wedding catering or large wedding events
- • Food service outside our designated service area
- • Service without proper kitchen facilities
- • Catering for more than 20 guests without prior arrangement
Service Area Restrictions:
Services are provided within our primary service area. Additional travel fees apply for locations outside Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and Magnolia areas.
Booking and Payment Terms
Booking Process
Advance Booking Requirements:
- • Same Day Meals: Minimum 48 hours advance notice
- • Weekly Meal Prep: Minimum 1 week advance notice
- • Special Events: Minimum 2-3 weeks advance notice
- • Holiday Services: Minimum 6-8 weeks advance notice
Booking Confirmation:
Services are confirmed only upon receipt of signed service agreement and required deposit. Verbal confirmations are not binding.

Deposit Requirements
- • Regular Services: 50% deposit required
- • Special Events: 50% deposit required
- • Holiday Services: 100% payment required in advance

Invoicing and Payment Schedule
Final Payment: Due upon completion of service or as agreed in writing.
Late Payment: 1.5% monthly service charge applies to overdue amounts after 30 days.
Receipts: All ingredient receipts provided within 24 hours of service completion.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

72+ Hours Notice
Full refund of deposit minus processing fees
48-72 Hours Notice
50% deposit retention fee

Rescheduling Policy
Free Rescheduling: Available with 72+ hours notice, subject to availability.
Short Notice Rescheduling: $50 administrative fee for changes within 48-72 hours.
Same-Day Changes: Not permitted due to ingredient purchasing and preparation requirements.
Emergency and Weather Cancellations
Weather-Related: Services may be cancelled for severe weather conditions. Full refund or rescheduling offered.
Client Emergency: Medical emergencies or family crises may qualify for modified cancellation terms at our discretion.
Chef Illness: If chef is unable to provide service due to illness, full refund or rescheduling offered.
Client Responsibilities
Kitchen Access and Facilities
Required Kitchen Equipment
- • Functioning stove/cooktop and oven
- • Refrigerator and freezer space
- • Basic cookware and bakeware
- • Adequate counter space for preparation
- • Access to running water and sink
- • Basic utensils and serving dishes
Client Responsibilities
- • Ensure clean kitchen before service
- • Provide unobstructed access to kitchen
- • Clear counter and refrigerator space
- • Ensure all appliances are in working order
- • Provide parking accommodation
- • Maintain safe working environment
Information and Communication Requirements
Required Information:
- • Complete and accurate dietary restrictions and food allergies
- • Guest count and any changes to numbers
- • Kitchen layout and equipment availability
- • Access instructions and security codes if applicable
- • Emergency contact information
Communication Requirements:
- • Respond to chef communications within 24 hours
- • Confirm service details 48 hours in advance
- • Notify of any changes immediately
- • Provide alternative contact if unavailable
Property and Equipment
Equipment Care: Client is responsible for any damage to personal property or equipment caused by normal wear and tear. Chef is responsible for damage due to negligence.
Property Access: Client grants permission for chef to access property during agreed service hours and assumes responsibility for security arrangements.
Storage: Client provides adequate refrigerator and pantry space for ingredients and prepared meals.
Food Safety and Allergen Management
Food Allergy and Safety Responsibility
Critical Notice: Client must provide complete and accurate information about all food allergies, dietary restrictions, and medical dietary requirements. Failure to disclose allergies may result in serious health consequences.
Client Responsibilities:
- • Disclose all food allergies and sensitivities
- • Provide written list of restricted ingredients
- • Update allergy information if changes occur
- • Have emergency medication available if needed
Chef Responsibilities:
- • Follow all disclosed dietary restrictions
- • Use separate preparation areas when possible
- • Check all ingredient labels carefully
- • Maintain detailed preparation notes

- • Current food handler's certification
- • HACCP food safety principles
- • Proper temperature control protocols
- • Cross-contamination prevention
- • Sanitation and hygiene standards
Ingredient Sourcing
- • Fresh, high-quality ingredients

- • Proper storage and transportation
- • Expiration date monitoring
- • Organic options when requested
Meal Storage and Consumption
Storage Instructions: Prepared meals must be properly refrigerated within 2 hours of preparation and consumed within recommended timeframes.
Reheating Guidelines: Detailed reheating instructions provided for all prepared meals to ensure food safety.
Shelf Life: Client assumes responsibility for proper storage and consumption of prepared meals within recommended timeframes.
Liability Limitation and Insurance
Professional Liability Insurance
Personal Chef Ana maintains comprehensive professional liability insurance including:
- • General liability coverage
- • Professional indemnity insurance
- • Product liability protection
- • Property damage coverage
Coverage Limits: Insurance certificates available upon request for special events.
Limitation of Liability
Service Limitations:
Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or personal injury not directly caused by our negligence.
Property Damage:
We assume responsibility for damage to client property only when caused by our negligence. Normal wear and tear of kitchen equipment is not covered. Client is responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage for their property.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, or public health emergencies.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Resolution Process
Step 1: Direct Communication
All disputes should first be addressed through direct communication. Contact us immediately at (346) 218-3912 or [email protected] to discuss any concerns.
Step 2: Formal Written Notice
If direct communication does not resolve the issue, provide written notice describing the dispute within 30 days of the service date.
Step 3: Mediation
Unresolved disputes may be submitted to mediation through a mutually agreed mediator in Harris County, Texas.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in Harris County, Texas.
Venue: Both parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of Harris County courts.
Time Limitations
Complaint Period: All complaints must be submitted within 30 days of service completion.
Legal Action: Any legal action must be commenced within one (1) year of the dispute arising.
Documentation: Client must maintain all relevant documentation for dispute resolution purposes.
Intellectual Property and Privacy
Recipe and Method Protection
Proprietary Recipes: All recipes, cooking methods, and techniques remain the intellectual property of Personal Chef Ana.
Confidentiality: Client agrees not to reproduce, distribute, or commercially use any proprietary recipes or methods.
Photography: Client may photograph prepared meals for personal use but not for commercial purposes without written consent.
Client Privacy and Confidentiality
Privacy Protection: We maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, dietary requirements, and personal preferences.
Professional Discretion: All client interactions and service details are kept confidential in accordance with professional standards.
Marketing Usage: Photos of prepared meals may be used for marketing purposes unless client specifically requests otherwise.
Terms Modifications and Updates
Amendment Process
Written Modifications: These terms may only be modified in writing and signed by both parties for individual service agreements.
General Updates: We reserve the right to update these general terms with 30 days' notice to clients.
Notification: Updates will be communicated via email, website posting, and direct communication during service appointments.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid provisions that most closely approximate the intent of the original terms.

Complete Agreement: These terms, together with any signed service agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the complete agreement between the parties.
